Gold-Plated

Every Piece, Also in Gold

Love a design in silver but want it warmer? Every piece in the Jewlz collection is also available in an 18K gold-plated finish, three layers of gold over sterling silver, for a rich, lasting glow.

What Gold Plating Means at Jewlz

• Base metal: 925 sterling silver, the same base used across the entire Jewlz collection.

• Plating: 18K gold, applied in three layers for extra thickness and durability.

• Finish: a warm, rich gold tone that reads as fine jewelry, at a fraction of solid gold's price.

• Available on every piece — simply choose "Silver" or "Gold Plated" from the variant selector on the product page.

Caring for Your Gold-Plated Piece

• Take it off before swimming, showering, or applying perfume and lotion — moisture and chemicals are the biggest causes of fading.

• Store it flat or hanging in the pouch provided, away from other jewelry that could scratch the plating.

• Wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth after wear — avoid polishing cloths or cleaning solutions made for solid gold.

• With normal care, expect years of everyday wear before any re-plating is needed.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the gold-plated option available on every product?

Yes. Every piece in the Jewlz collection can be ordered in either sterling silver or 18K gold-plated finish; just select your preference on the product page.

Will the gold plating fade or wear off?

With proper care (see our care guide above), the 3-layer gold plating is designed to last. Like any plated jewelry, it can wear over years of daily use, especially with exposure to water and chemical, at which point it can be re-plated rather than replaced.

Is gold-plated jewelry the same as gold-filled?

No. Gold-filled jewelry has a much thicker layer of gold mechanically bonded to the base metal, and typically costs more. Jewlz pieces use 18K gold plating over sterling silver.

Can I get an item re-plated?

Reach out to us on WhatsApp with your order details, and we'll advise on re-plating options for pieces purchased from Jewlz.

Is the gold-plated option hypoallergenic?

The sterling silver base is the same across both finishes. If you have a known sensitivity to gold or silver alloys, we recommend checking with a dermatologist before regular wear, as with any jewelry.

Does gold-plated cost more than silver?

Pricing varies slightly by piece; check the product page for the exact price of each finish.
